Exercising
his talents as a hotelier at L’ HORIZON in Thionville
and as a master chef, he delights in
preparing tasty dishes to tempt his guests, he ended
by becoming enmeshed in a passion for local
history, largely as a result of having served over 25 years
the "young" American veterans who have
come back to revisit the sites of their past.
For his parents these encounters were particularly
emotional, especially for his mother Janine, who
as a young girl in September 1944, welcomed the young
men as liberators,
with a bunch of flowers in her hands.
Together with his wife, Anne-Marie, Jean-Pascal has
been welcoming throughout the years and is proud
of these discreet men whose names are
inscribed in his guest book of honour, who came from
across the
Atlantic. He hopes most sincerely that in November
2004, the survivors of that epic will come together
once more.
Nota : You can also find his great
job around The
Maginot Ligne.
